Ron Paul Civil War not necessary
Link. Ron Paul is an idiot. That war was fought over much more than slavery. The south wanted to ceased from the north and make their own country, and that was the main reason for the war. We (The North) was fighting to keep America as 1 country. Many men and women died to save America. Not to stop slavery. That became an afterthought. Heck rumor has it that Lincoln had a slave or 2. Ron Paul needs to study his history before he opens his mouth.

“We was fighting to keep America as 1 country”? I have a feeling that Ron Paul knows much more about history than you do. Perhaps he knows so much more than you that he actually holds a different and superior position on the issue…
Seeing as everyone love Abe Lincoln and Ron Paul doesn’t, perhaps he knows something that we don’t…
In either case, your grammer and writing are terrible.

Paul never proposed that the US Civil War was about slavery. He was responding to Russerts assinine assertion that slavery would still exist if the war had not occured.

hmmm Bert. Looking to see where I said I am a great writer. I am here to speak my mind. You are alowed to disagree. But I still stand by my opinion. Ron Paul is an idiot. As are his supporter’s.

If you watched the beginning of the video you would see he had said “Abe Lincoln should have never gone to war; there were better way’s of getting rid of slavery” While that is true. The war was not fought over slavery. Now I love people in the south. Many great people down there. But let’s face it they were the ones who started the war. And the started revenge by giving us idiots like the Clinton’s, Mind you the north had idiot’s as well (Kennedy family anyone).

Bravo, young sir! I have described the wrongness that is Ron Paul. Every death under Lincoln’s boot was a necessary price to be paid for the Union to be preserved in his century so that America could save the world in the next. Such was Lincoln’s historic and true vision.

Hmm, this one is a tough one for me…
Ron Paul is for all intents and purposes, a Liberatarian. That means he is for states rights, Against the IRS, and is a isolationist.
While I may disagree with him on some points, all in all, I don’t think he is an idiot.
I think if you look a little deeper you would see that he in fact was implying that if were to look at the whole civil rights process, most of it was achieved by nonviolent means by African Americans. I think he is saying it would have happened eventually.
I don;t myself really know… However, I do know that I pay too much in taxes, I also know that we give an aweful lot of money to countires and governments that hate us… I think he has some ideologies that I like…
